Which Video Wall Panels to Buy? Key Features

If you decide to rent video wall panels, you should also pay attention to the brightness characteristics. In this case, you should also start from the nature of the placement – at a short distance, the image is well read if the display brightness is 400 candelas per square meter. However, in order for the video wall to be visible from the street, this value should be twice as high.

At the moment, the most common video wall option is a design based on LCD displays. First of all, you should pay attention to the diagonal of the display – this is what will determine the physical size of the final screen and the possibility of its placement within specific tasks, be it a certain corner of the room or part of the final installation. Often, manufacturers offer modules with a diagonal of 46 or 55 inches and an aspect ratio of 16:9 – these are the indicators you should start from at the design stage of the structure.

The next important characteristic is the size of the interpanel seam, which is provided by the manufacturer. Modern professional modules for video walls allow for virtually seamless assembly with a distance between panels of 1-2 mm. However, you should not strive to minimize the interpanel space if the video wall is installed in a spacious room. From a large distance, a seam of up to 10 mm may remain invisible to the viewer.

Display resolution and the presence of auto-calibration are also important factors. Modern professional modules have a resolution of Full HD and higher, and automatically adjust to the characteristics of the final canvas so that the image appears continuous, but detailed.
