Lighting equipment for the stage
Stage lighting equipment is not just decorations, it is an integral part of the visual component of a show, performance, concert or any other performance.
Stage lighting:
- allows the viewer to see what is happening on stage
- makes the stage attractive
- creates light and color accents
- emphasizes the main mood of the event and directly affects the impression of the audience from what is happening on stage
A professional approach to stage lighting involves not only the proper placement of lamps, but also the selection of the required equipment. Equipment for supplying light to the stage can be divided into:
- Dynamic devices (flood, drawing)
- Static devices (LED equipment and lamp devices, a bar for lighting the wings)
- Background lighting sources (spotlights, blinders)
- Lighting devices that perform a decorative function
- Equipment for creating special effects
The following requirements are imposed on all lighting equipment of stage areas without exception:
- creation of the necessary level of illumination, with high clarity and detail
- low energy consumption
- ease of maintenance
- safety for people
To choose the right stage light, you need to take into account the size and features of the stage itself, as well as the focus of the proposed event (i.e. what it will be: a theatrical production, a lecture, a concert, etc.). In any case, the initial stage of creating stage lighting involves developing a project for a stage lighting system, on the basis of which the selection and arrangement of lighting equipment takes place. It would not be superfluous to have a three-dimensional modeling or 3D visualization of the upcoming event in order to see the features of stage lighting in advance and eliminate possible shortcomings and errors in calculations.
Professional stage lighting equipment includes:
- Intelligent devices (light scanners and devices with full rotation)
- Spotlights and lamps
- Strobe lights
- Control panels
- Lighting effects and much more
