How to choose a LED screen?

LED Video Wall 2.6 px 7680Hz is a complex device designed to display graphic materials. The characteristics and size of the screen are selected based on the features of the venue. It is necessary to take into account the size of the audience, its distance from the screen and lighting (natural or artificial).

LED Display Device

These screens consist of many light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The main element of the diode is a semiconductor. It glows when an electric current passes through it and determines the color of the diode.

The image on LED displays is made up of individual elements – pixels (pictures element). An important characteristic of the display is the pixel pitch – the distance between the central points of adjacent pixels. The smaller this segment, that is, the closer the pixels are to each other, the clearer the image. Another concept is related to this: screen resolution. It depends on how many dots-pixels fit on 1 square meter of the display. The higher the resolution, the clearer the picture and the more expensive the display.

There are two main types of LED display arrangements.

DIP type pixels consist of groups of individual LEDs. Each LED is placed on the board separately in its own housing. Most often, there are three LEDs in a group (1R1G1B), but sometimes a fourth element is added for greater brightness (for example, 2R1G1B). The pixel pitch is from 1 to 4 cm. This screen design is mainly suitable for outdoor advertising due to the protective pixel housing and the low definition of the screens.

We offer displays with new generation LEDs that line up SMD type pixels. They are a single housing that contains several microscopic LEDs and act as an independent module. The pixel pitch is from 2.6 to 3.9 mm. The image on such screens is clear and detailed even in bright sunlight. Our models are suitable for indoor use or in indoor arenas.

We must not forget about the screen brightness. It is measured in units of nits (cd/m2). The indicator for displays used indoors or in indoor arenas is 500-3000 cd/m2, and for outdoor structures – from 6500 to 10 thousand cd/m2.

LED screen design and formats

We assemble displays from individual panels (cabinets), which are small screens ranging in size from 0.5 to 2 meters. They, in turn, consist of small square modules. The panels are attached to each other seamlessly, making up a single canvas. This design allows you to assemble screens of different configurations – large, curved and others, in accordance with the requests of our customers.
