Stage complexes: prefabricated and collapsible structures

Renting a stage, collapsible stage complexes is often more profitable than building a permanent structure. In what cases is it advisable to use this technical solution? When holding mass events in the open air: all kinds of concerts, performances, holidays, fairs, advertising campaigns and other public events.

Advantages of collapsible structures

  • Possibility of installation almost anywhere
  • Multiple reinstallation and availability of transportation to the selected location
  • Universality. Suitable for events of various themes
  • Easy installation (does not require special equipment) and relatively high assembly speed
  • Low cost compared to similar static objects, in addition, it can pay off if the structures are rented out

Types of stage structures

Prefabricated and collapsible structures are designed either standard (according to typical projects) or individual, according to the customer’s wishes and site requirements. Such mobile stages come in different sizes. The most popular are complexes for football stadiums and ice palaces. The main types of such structures:

  • open mobile stages
  • stages with an arched roof
  • stages with a flat roof
  • stages with an elevator roof
  • stages with a pitched roof
  • stages with a podium

In addition to the stage itself, for large venues you can purchase “wings” for remote wings, control towers, sound portals, structures for advertising banners and broadcast screens and much more.

Materials and design of stage complexes

The stage base is a stable frame to which the deck is attached using special mechanisms. Additionally, the design of the prefabricated stage includes podiums, stairs, support posts and tent structures. The floor is usually made of plywood with a moisture-resistant and anti-slip coating, covered with linoleum or carpet.

In the manufacture of such mobile structures, steel parts (to increase rigidity) and special aluminum alloys (to ensure the lightness of the structure) are used to ensure the strength, reliability and durability of the complex. Galvanizing and powder coating are also possible for steel structures.

Installation of prefabricated and disassembled stages

  • Measuring work: collecting data on the installation site, working out all surface irregularities
  • Installation and testing of the stage support
  • Assembly of the podium structure and floor
  • Installation of the roof bases and securing the awning
  • Re-checking all connections and the overall quality of the assembly. Elimination of possible defects

Professional collapsible stage complexes have the following list of accompanying documents:

  • technical passport
  • warranty card
  • valid certificates for structures and materials used
  • detailed instructions for installation and dismantling

Additionally, they are equipped with descriptions of the impact of the complex on the ground, the load-bearing capacity of the stage and roof, conditions of transportation, storage and safety of people on the stage.

But it is not always necessary to purchase mobile stages, especially if the company intends to use them no more than 3-5 times a year. In this case, renting stage structures for the relevant event would be optimal.
