How to choose seamless panels for video walls?

Modern technologies make it possible to convey various information to the target audience in a high-quality manner through sound and visual materials. One of the effective ways to present graphic information is seamless video walls.

What is a video wall?

A seamless video wall is a set of panels (modules) that are connected to each other without seams or with minimal seams. Thus, one single video density is created, allowing you to broadcast large-sized images. Often, seamless panels for video walls are used to create structures with aspect ratios of 4:3 or 16:9. This technique is controlled using a special computer program that divides the image into equal parts and simultaneously displays it on a certain number of panels.

Seamless video walls are very popular these days. This popularity is due to two factors, namely: the ability to create large screens for broadcasts and low energy costs. The thing is that video wall modules have low energy consumption, so even a large number of them will not hit the organization’s budget.

How to choose seamless panels for video walls?

1. We determine the optimal installation area.

You should not try to install as many modules as possible in a room where they will be of no use. In order to calculate the optimal dimensions of the structure, use data on the area of the room in which the wall will be installed and the distance from which viewers will see the displayed content.

2. Select the optimal brightness indicator.

According to experts, for using structures indoors, modules with a brightness rating of 400-700 cd/m2 are sufficient. If we are talking about display video walls or those installed outdoors, then seamless panels for video walls with a brightness of 1000 cd/m2 or more can guarantee good image quality.

3. We pay attention to the configuration and control of the structure.

All modern professional video walls have automatic color calibration; earlier models will have to be configured yourself. In addition, the latest generation equipment boasts a built-in controller that allows you to evenly stretch the picture across all wall modules, eliminating visual boundaries.

These days, the range of seamless video walls is so large that it is quite easy for the average user to get confused in finding the right equipment. If you are not sure about your choice, it is better to seek help from specialists.
